If megalithic structures date back to prehistoric times, and for which precision tooling of masonry is evident, then it's possible that (like coexistence of Mammoths and Neanderthals or Denisovans) ancient people groups coincided with the later times of some large creatures. If that is correct then fairly docile Mammoths - wikipedia ( or ?perhaps Mastodons?
